Veterinary Evidence: New Editorial Board Members

Join the Editorial Board of Veterinary Evidence

Do you have a passion for evidence-based veterinary medicine (EBVM)? Owing to the continued growth of Veterinary Evidence, we are inviting applications from the veterinary, veterinary nursing and allied professions to become a member of the journal’s Editorial Board.

Veterinary Evidence is an international online only, open access, peer-reviewed journal owned and published by RCVS Knowledge, the charitable partner of the UK’s Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. It publishes content relating to EBVM and its application in veterinary practice.

Our international Editorial Board volunteer their time to fulfil a vital role in developing Veterinary Evidence, as well as helping to advance the evidence within their own subject areas.

The post

Editorial Board meetings are held three times a year (in-person or virtually), where Members enthusiastically participate in and contribute ideas to discussions on the strategic development of the journal. Board Members are supported by the Editorial Office in actively promoting Veterinary Evidence and its content to peers, colleagues and their wider network.

Veterinary Evidence is welcoming applications from all areas and roles within the global veterinary, veterinary nursing and allied professions. Applicants do not need to be UK-based.

With increasing numbers of submissions we need to increase our capacity across the Board. We are particularly interested in potential Board Members with expertise in the below areas (applicants with expertise in other areas are also welcome):

  • Anaesthesia
  • Cardiology
  • Companion animal behaviour
  • Companion animal health and welfare
  • Dermatology
  • Epidemiology
  • Equine medicine / surgery
  • Immunology
  • Neutering / Reproduction
  • Nutrition / Gastroenterology
  • Oncology
  • Orthopaedics
  • Radiology
  • Small animal internal medicine
  • Small animal nutrition
  • Sports medicine
  • Statistics
  • Urology

The post supports the holder with opportunities around:

  • Career development (academic / in practice)
  • Expanding their networks
  • Building their exposure with peers as an active member of the journal’s editorial team
  • Being an active part of the veterinary community and engaging with the journal and EBVM
